me vs. weightlifting coach's SHO

HEY, my weightlifting coach at school has been wantin to race me in his 98 Ford Taurus SHO, i have a 97 gsx with boost controller, intake, plugs, wires, full exhaust, 1g bov and dropped. He says hes got high performance mufflers and not much else, he also has a 80 some stang that would rape me but thats beside the point. He said that he would only race me for money because i dont no, hes gay. And working at KFC i cherish my $5.50 and hour, $5.75 when i pick up a washington out of the change cup, anyways i will race him for whatever money his gay ass desires if i know that i have a sure win. Need info quick cuz hes storing his car next week. THanks

with a stock 3.4l v8, they all have 4 speed autos, Indeed yes very easy kill.

racing for money is dumb. race him for like lunch or gas fill up.

i wouldnt put too much down.. but it should be a easy kill id think... just remember his automatic wont mis-shift so if you have a 5 speed dont try to be too fast.. you should have more than enough over him to take your time and have a good solid run & kill...

Assuming his car is bone stock, you should have no trouble with it. Racing someone for money when you have no idea how fast their car is seems like a bad idea...but hopefully you aren't doing it for more than a couple bucks.

If I were you I would just laugh at your weightlifting coach and explain that some cars are made to be fast, and those cars take a higher "octane" gas (here's where you can insult him a little as you begin to explain why you're car needs nicer gas...lol) and that gas prices are very high on premium. Then just make fun of him because he has a Taurus.

That would be my move. I would just be like "You drive a Taurus. I'll only race you blindfolded so I don't have to look at your car." :D

he said his coach has an eighty some mustang that will rape him so i dont think this guy is stupid maybe gay but it looks like hes not a total moron. Maybe hes got something for you but stock you got this.

i raced a sho at the track last week and he had exhaust not sure what else, he was also a auto and he only ran 15.9 against me

Better hope it's not the guy I know with a turbo kit on his SHO.

sho stands for super high output, and actually the older taurus's (the ones similar to the old mustang 5.0's) had 220hp fuel injected (base was carburated) dual overhead cam 3.0l V6....the 5.0 had 225 hp w/ a 5.0 liter V8...yeah i think ford was being funny and a 5 speed manual, which is what a 3kgt dohc has

i'm dropping a sho engine in my 89 ford taurus whenever the engine goes.... hopefully it'll outrun my eclipse sad as it seems

I remember racing an SHO back when my Spyder was bone stock. I killed him by about 2 or 3 car lengths at 70 or so. I don't launch very hard, because on a race like that I don't feel that it's worth the hard driving on my car for a race I know I will win. You will be fine, especially for a GSX. I had KFC the other night and they totally fucked up my order!! Damn fools! I guess that's what you get for ordering at the drive thru!
