changing motors

i think the motor is taking a dump in my truck. i dont want to fix it because it would be cheaper to get a good used motor. has anyone changed a 2.2 . it should not be a big deal right. what about a 4.3 , i would have to change alot im sure. this is not a go fast, look good truck, its my work truck so i really dont care about speed and all that stuff.
