My '98 Burb has sprung 2 leaks, one in the passenger footwell and the other is in the cargo bay near the left barn door. It has rained here for 2 days; noticed the leaks this morning. Any ideas of where the leaks could be and suggestions on how to fix it?

Mine had been leaking in the rear above the taillights, The black plastic trim was channeling water into my truck, Only when it rained heavily this happened, I pulled all the parts off looked for any openings and sealed them up with silicon & expanding foam, So far after about 1 1/2 years it works!

Hello I just found this same issue on my 98 Sub. We have had rain here for two days straight. The carpet was wet on the passenger side. Water seems to be coming from the heater motor. When you turn on the fan you can hear the water inside. Not a good thing! I removed the wipers and plastic cover that's infront on the wind shield. I ran a hose and cleaned out all the leaves and made sure the water was coming out the bottom. I ran a bead of silicon glue along the bottom edge of the wind shield where there is a molding of some kind. I removed the foam rubber gasket that the hood seals against. Under this gasket is where I think the leak was. The gasket sits on a ridge made of two pieces of sheet metal. These are spot welded and there was sealant at the edges but not all the way across. I sealed it all the way across. I also sealed all the screw holes before putting the screws back in. Not sure if I addressed the problem but I did my best to eliminate alot of possibilities! :) I have to wait for the next big rain storm to verify.
