lowering kits?

i have an 02 sliverado 5.3 ext. cab.. and want to lower it like 1/3 or 2/4 im not exacly sure yet i still want to fit 22's or possibly 23s or 24 if they fit under the 1/3 or 2/4 drop and will i still have a decent ride i dont want to slam it i want it too look sporty any ideas? if not what do i need to do to get a decent ride and make the truck handle good.. but still have a lil drop to it..?? I have a '00 4.8L I wanted to lower my truck a little also, but when I put my 20" wheels on there, it really looked good. No drop needed. Is your truck 4wd? I think they sit a little higher than 2wd. Anyway, I will post a picture of my truck in here tomorrow, see what you think.

i already have 20's on my truck.. and i think the rear sits too high i want it to sit level also...and want to go bigger with the wheels.. and i want a sporty look on my truck maybe soon ill try and add a supercharger and do some more work here and there.. and my truck is also 2wd

If you want to lower the end I´ll trade you my springs, they´re pretty straight by now!

22's will fit on a 2/4 drop just fine. The ride will be fine, but will ride somewhat rough b/c of the large wheels and rubber band tires. I've got 35 series rubber on my 20's and i'm fine with the ride. If you're looking for a decent ride I would suggest leaving your truck stock so you can fit a tire with a thicker sidewall which in turn will provide a smoother ride.

This is my truck w/ 20" Helo renegades. If you do put a lowering kit. I would suggest using air. This way, if you want, you can still tow and gain that extra clearence when you need it. One more tip, you do not have to buy the air pumps that they want to sell with those kits. They want waaaaay too much money for those pumps. Get one with a refillabe reserve tank or put your own pump on the truck.

well i thought abou tthat.. my questions are.. how durable are bags for an everyday driver? how much would a kit cost me?

Thanks man. Not sure exactly how low you can go on stockers but I know 4/6 is totally doable. If you go 3/5 and pulling a boat I suggest notching the frame just to give you that extra room so you don't bottom out a lot or even installing helper bags.
