I am pretty pissed as of writing this. The GT that I have been watching for a week or two just sold. How $%@#ing fantastic, the day before I wanted to drive to the place, check it out, and aboiut 85% sure probally going to buy it. Ahhhh! Now I have to start me search over. :(

I feel your pain. I called up on a 97 eclipse gst 5spd with 50000 miles for $6000. Somebody bought the car the day before. I felt like crying.

Wow that was an insanely good price.

I really blame myself for this though, They were closed the day I went looking at cars, and I didnt think that If I were to push it till next weekend It would be gone. I was in reaching distance of owning the car though, which really pissed me off.
It was a 1999 GT Coupe with premium package, leather interior and mach audio system. It had fully tinted windows (which was something I will get on whatever car I end up with) and aftermarket side exit exhaust. 62k miles listed at like 9.7k, which I would have worked down a lil bit.

Grrrrr....

The adage of 'you snooze - you lose' comes to mind. Bummer.

What happened happened and couldn't have happened any other way. It was meant to be. I say this because I was going to get an eclipse gs and it sold. I was pissed, but a week later, I found my 240. If I could, I would thank the guy who bought it. Just think, now you can save more money and possibly find something nicer. I guaruntee you find something better.

something similar happend to me, I wanted a DSM so I went and checked out this 91 eclipse with a newer eclipse gs motor in it.

It had exhaust and intake, a system and shaved door handles, custom candy apple red paint job and some rim's. all for 1,000 the guy had so many cars he just wanted it gone. At age 16 this was quite a deal to get a "hooked up" car already and all.

Well we agreed on a lower price of 800$ cuz it wouldent pass inspection with the shaved handles and the guy was gonna get me doors from the junkyard to go with it. Well it was set the day I was supposed to pick it up his wife had sold it to some guy who came to the door with 1,200 in hand and the guy and I were both kind of mad at her because it made him look bad. Well the guy that bought it sold the car in the paper for 3,800$ and I got a pretty mint 91 civic hb si all stock, clean body, perfect interior.

glad it went the way it did now. things happen for a reason.

like me i wanted this RX7 and the guy told me on the phone that he sold it the day before so i got pissed and a week later i still saw the car at autotrader.com so i decided to call again he told me that the other person gave him $100 but was not able to give him the rest so he still had the RX7 and i gave him $1200 for it and now i drive a 2nd Generation RX7 (kick ass)
