Cruise Control Clip or cable 2000 astro

My wonderful mechanic broke the clip that connects the cruise control cable to the engine. He refuses to replace it for free, so now I am looking to do it myself. Only problem is I can't find a replacement clip or cable. Is there anyone who can help locate this part???
