Take a look at D1 drivers... I've been to both D1 US events, and I'd say 80% (maybe more) use either Falken Azenis ST-115 (NOT the Azenis Sports) or Advan (Yokohama) Neova AD07's. Some drivers use Michelin Pilot Sports I believe, and then the Signal Auto/Tanabe Drift Twin cars both use BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD tires, as they are now sponsored by BFG. Tarzan Yamada has been experimenting with Toyo Proxy T1-S on his JGTC Viper that he exhibition drifts around in at various drift events such as Formula D and D1GP USA. Another VERY popular tire among the amature drift scene at events like Club4AG's Drift Days, and Just Drift events is the Yokohama ES100. It had very good grip, but is also very suitable for drifting on. That's what Rhys Millen used to use to drift on in his Lancer EVO7 rally car that he'd use to drift in. Now he drifts in his 2004 Pontiac GTO, and I'm not sure what tires he uses, but I think I recall he uses Yokohamas, but he could actually use Advan Neovas now.

Rule of thumb to keep in mind, especially for drifting, it's ALL user preferance. What works for one will not always work for another, that's why the pros use all sorts of different tires.
