No thanks....I'll stick with the 240...and if I had 60 grand It'd be a Skyline.

what a waste of 60k....

alright so its fast.... definitely not worth 60k thats for sure, i mean for $30k ok sure thats acceptable. I think no matter what car it is, but if it goes 0-60 in 3.2 and 11s 1/4 i think all of us would drive it :iceslolan i mean face it... thats porche power out of the box. With a porche nobody thinks they have a chance, with this fast piece of crap , its like a beast under cover haha... and when you pull up to a light and some kid on the right of you thinks he can smoke anything because he has some exhaust and then he gets his doors blown off with the porche powered little VW .. his face will go to :eek7: and now that alone is worth more than $60k... thats priceless!!

I think 60K is a fair price for any car that gives you that level of performance, the only thing I don't see myself doing is spending 60K on a VW, I would rather have it in another car not a hatch back. There was article of this guy who had 960Hp out of his golf, it had a I-5 block from the Volvo, it was so outrageous, the backseat area had been cut out to accomodate a huge muffler like the one on the new avalanche, he spent like 80K and this didn't include the car. Nice performance, I just say it's the wrong car, I could see myself swapping a V6 TT and putting in like 80K in a S14, Audi A4, M3, M5, Supra, hell even the new Dodge magnum, but not a VW.

60k is not a fair price. are you on crack.

why not just buy a mambo viper or a c6.

C6 Can't Touch That And The Viper Has Too Much Traction Issues To Meet That Without Serious Upgrades.

No Matter How You Face It $60k Is Cheap For Beyond Super Car Performance.... That My Friend Would Hang Door To Door With A F1 Car And Those Cost Millions To Develope. The Shifter Kart I Had Would Be Comparable To A F1 Car And It Would Have A Hard Time Beating That.... The Shifter Kart I Had Had A Top Speed Well Over 220mph And Would Go 0-100-0 In Less Than 9 Seconds.

umm im pretty sure that wouldnt quite hang with an F1 car..... aslo why would someone want that much power...look how much the rear end was dropping after the shifts, it almost hits the ground. $60,000 for a 400HP hatchback.....i dont think so. With that kind of money i would buy a much cheaper car...make it have a little extra power...then save the rest.

A F1 Car Has A 0-60 Is 3 Seconds That Car Would Be Right On Top Of A F1 Car.

You'd Make More Power With No Warranty.

musicsurfman

Also A Formual One Car Has Many Different Settings That Effect Accelration On Average Most F1 Accelerate In The Range Of 1.5 To 3.5 Seconds Zero To Sixty Depending On Tracks.... There Have Been Recorded Cars Back Int He Turbo Days That Have Hit 100mph In 3.5 Seconds So Take It With A Grain Of Salt..... But 0-60 3.2 Seconds Is One Of The Fastest Street Legal Cars With A Warranty.

I'll take the vw over any dodge. The only reason the viper is so good is because it was designed by an outside engineering company and built by other manufacturers.

Right, and which design firm and builder would those be?

I think that VW is a piece of ****. You can get power out of anything if you want to. So its got X amount of horsepower. Whoop dee freakin do. Its still just a shitty little hatch back that looks just like everything else. Same as a Kia someone dropped a big block in, a boosted 30 psi Civic or some other waste of time like that.

jesus christ dude, my shifter cart had a kx80 or sumthin like that it was a dirst bike engine, and i thought 80mph was fast, 80 x 2.75 = 220 so almost 3 times that, wow id drive that instead of a car and race people

there he goes again with his ricerness bling bling wanna be

id take the shitbox VW over a shitbox DODGE pos

and that dude is right about shifter carts, they are fast as fuck. I know a guy who races them in the UK and europe, they run same exact track courses that F1 guys do and can sometimes even post FASTER lap times then the f1 cars....

i'd rather have a shelby csx 4000. 0-60 in under 4 seconds and 12 second 1/4 time. plus its hell of a lot more stylish than a golf. As far as the viper goes. i wouldn't even think of the new one, its ugly and looks like an s2000 rip-off. i wouldn't mind the older style tho, especially an rt-10.

well you gotta give the VW a little credit: AT LEAST ITS NOT RICE...and that car would be the ultimate sleeper! I like it because its different, its just not like anything out there, what are the chances of going next to one of those at the lights? At least he didnt make the VW so incredibly powerful that there is not point in driving it anymore...i mean who the heck would wanna drive full throttle with a faster car than that in town?? like many individuals do these days...they all go: heey, if im going to get 400hp, why the heck shouldnt i get more while im at it?? The level of that tuning is balanced, its not TOO fast, and of course not too slow

I dont see whats so good about vipers, i personally like skylines and silvias. If you buy a viper ud have like what 450hp, but with a dam pretty big chunk gona outta ur wallet! Why would you buy a viper? to go fast? with that kinda money you can make a car faster, handle better and look better than a viper by miles! Of course its a matter of perspective, im not dissin Vipers at all, they are cool cars and everything but i just wouldnt buy one

grncivicdhr

you wouldn't take that big a hit with the viper. you can get a used 93-96 viper with 12k to 40k miles on it for $30,000 - $40,000 easy. its the insurance that would kill you. i'm sure insuance companies only see that as a golf since you buy the car before you get the kit. a viper is a viper no matter how you cut it. but since i always like viper rt-10's i think i'd go with that. i'd just need to freshin up the bumpers on my older viper with some acr parts.
