keyless remote

Wondering if anyone else is having a problem with their remote? Sometimes I can unlock my doors from 10-15 parking spots away and other times I am standing right next to the truck hitting the button to no avail and end up doing it the old fashioned way, dare I say it, with the key....


also, why the heck dont I have any smilies in the box to the left to click on and insert into my messages.....

Had the same problem my remote was slowly going out. Had to buy a new one online for about $40.

thats pretty cheap from what I hear.....do you remember where you got it from?

It is www.keylessride.com. It was for my Avalanche but i couldnt see yours being any more money. It was $29 and $6 dollars shipping and they sent the instructions right along with it. hope this helps

I had a bad experience like that too and as it turns out there were cold solder joints in my remote. I resoldered all the connections and it was fine again.
Sometimes keys' when they get dropped loosen connections inside the remote. If your confident enough take your remote apart and have a look to see if anything is obvious.
Might be able to save yourself a few bucks.
