Check Gauges Light

About a year ago, we got a 1993 Thunderbird LX, V-6 from my Brother-In-Law. The Check Gauges light on the instrument panel would sporadically come on, even though all of the gauges indicated everything was normal. He had not been able to solve the problem, and the local Ford dealer also was unable to solve it.
The light coming on got to be more frequent, until it was on all of the time. Still, the gauges all read in the normal range.
Finally, I decided to pull the instrument cluster out of the car to see if I could find something obvious. With me, it would have to be obvious because I have extremely limited electrical ability. I struggled to get the instrument cluster out of the dash. When I looked into the opening, I found a circuit board just laying in the opening. Upon examination, I determined it was supposed to slide into an opening on the end of the instrument cluster. Slid it back into place, and reassembled the dash. The light comes on when its supposed to, when first starting the engine. Then it goes out, like its supposed to. It seems to be working fine. Everything else seems to be working properly too.
I hope this helps anybody that might be experiencing similar Check Gauges Light problems. If I had known it was going to be that easy of a fix, I would have done it months ago.
