MK2 cheap power trick

Hey VDubbers, I found a cool way to get a little more air & fuel into your MK2. This worked for an '85 Jetta GL I recently bought and sold; not sure if it will work for newer years. Underneath the gas pedal there is a plastic stopper screwed onto the floor, which basically serves as a rev-limiter. All you have to do is unscrew it with your hand. Once its gone, you can mash the pedal right to the floor! It definitely makes a difference especially winding through gears and going uphills. The powerband stays constant after about 4k rpm, but removing that stopper releases the full potential of the throttle body. The intake even sounded louder at high rpms.
