I decided to do a quick, fun build before tackling my Enzo.

My mom was cleaning out my old room, and she found some of my old models that I built when I was a kid. Just sitting there in a pile of junk was my old 1/20 scale Toyota Tacoma. The roll cage was busted and it was missing a few parts, but the major bits were still attached.

Then the wheels started turning.

In comes the $3 1978 Trans Ams my brother picked up at a garage sale for me.....MWAHAHAHAHAHHA :evillol:

The tires measure out to a scale 39"! And the wheels 20"! Rear suspention is scratch built and the front is mearly tweaked. I'm not going to make it 4wd, think of it as a pre-runner.

I've trimmed the front wheel wells, but not the rears yet. When this is built, its going to look absolutly beat down....dented, rusted...and trashed.

It will be fun. :iceslolan

Stay tuned.

Sweet. I saw a car a lot like this at a construction site in town. It was an AMC of some sort though, and I always thought it would make a cool model. I can't wait to see what happens here.

Uhm, it's different. However, I don't believe prerunners have 39'' tall tires, or 20'' rims for that matter, but no difference. Good luck with your build.

Here's a little update.

I assembled and dirtied the motor as well as the interior.

Let me know what you think.

The motor was painted with flat black, heads and water pump aluminium. I then coated everything with testors Rubber coloured paint. Once that dried I did a dry brush coat of Testors Mat Military Brownm and then a dry brush of Testors Rust.

The Interior is Testors Mat Red and a dry brushing of Rust is key locales.

Enjoy.

It's almost done, although most of you don't care.

I still have to detail the wheel wells and undercarriage.

Please tell me what you think so far.

treads and inside side of the tires need to be muddy too imo, but it does look cool

exhaust needs to be shortened, its aluminium tubing coming straight off the manifold. And yes, I do need to apply more paint to more than the tires.

Looks good. For a redneck transam, that is kool. Not something I'd drive, but hey looks like it could be fun.
