Just search this forum with "shifter install". You'll find all the info you need.

I cut my shifter & just use the aftermarket shift knobs...

thats not a true short shifter.....a short shifter makes the shifter longer...it goes through the floor further...by doing so you have to move the shifter less to get it into gear.

I agree with Forcefanajd. Ppl think that cutting the shifter makes it "short" ITs actually the ball on the shifter makes the difference. The ball sits higher to make the shifter short. Or i think its the other way around. Either way you should get the point ;)

nah it definately makes the shifter longer because now that i have a short shifter in my car it gets stuck on my exhaust sometimes and rattles all the time hehehe.

Yeh you have to readjust the exhaust piping. I had dc sports in mine and it hit the exhaust piping. It doesn't hit anymore when i got a new exhaust system:)

Mine hit the exhaust then I ordered all new Honda bushings for the shifter and no more hitting the exhaust.
