Saturday 1:30 AM - 2004 dodge durango limited. 650 miles on it. Horn goes off by itself in the middle of the night. I pulled the fuse to stop the honking (Not the alarm but a constant blowing) Brought it in to dealer on Monday. They ordered the Airbag cover/horn switch. Tuesday - no part expected till Thursday. I decide to pick it up and bring it back to the dealer when the part comes in. When I pick it up the interior is filthy. Greasy footprints on the running boards, on the carpet next to the seat, greasy steering wheel and console. I freak out. I get a call back on Wednesday promising me that the truck will be detailed to factory freshness when I bring it back for the part. Wednesday - I am at work, wife goes out to start the Truck and the battery is bone dead no power at all. They tell me I must have left a light on. (What about the battery rundown protection that automatically shuts off lights that you forget on?) My brand new truck gets hoisted on a flatbed and goes back to the dealer. Thursday 3:00 - still no updates. I called twice today and each time they tell me they will get back to me.

WTF. Am I getting shafted or what. What could they have done to cause the car to go dead like that? What do I do now? I need this truck to be reliable for the wife and three young kids.

If I don't hear anything soon, my head is going to pop off.

Sorry to hear that. I hope its just a fluke and nothing like I had to go through with my new VW Jetta! I don't wish my worst enemy to go through what I did on that car!

Be sure to verify every detail of this. Make notes and save all paperwork. I'd suspect you might wind up using the lemon law if this is any indication of what to expect in the first year. Hope I'm wrong though. This kind of stuff is hard on the nerves.

Sounds like your dealership doesn't care about customer service to dirty up your car like that, and not be swift in providing parts, etc.

If you live in the tri-state area of NY, not too far from the lower hudson valley, check out Rockland Auto Plaza in Nanuet NY. They are great! Clean, and they even wash your vehicle when it's been in for oil changes and other service needs.

Any recent news on the truck? Sure doesn't sound like a four star dealer.
