you need a little more info. What amp? Are these dual 2 ohm voice coils, or dual 4 ohm? 1600 max means nothing btw. Only the rms matters. So which model amp. Who makes it.

Like he said we need more info but from the looks of it your either going to be underpowering or overpowering.

He will be underpowering it, but using the box that he will most like use. That is a better thing.

If you want to know a good box for audiobahns and more in depth detail of how to run audiobahns, you will want to talk to Stephen Matthews. Also you will get a better deal on an amp that will work better for it... If those were dual 4, I would have gone with a nine.1 or 2 of the amps you have currently and get a properly built ported box via Stephen Matthews, who can be reached at 678-662-1976

the subs are 400 rms dual 4ohm voice coils AW1251T and da amp is a legacy La770 1000watts 2ohm stablex2

ok. the subs would be wired series parallel bridged to the amp getting about 400 watts. My suggestion. Get a new amp. Get a nine.1 or something that is stable at 1 ohm and is a class D. That amp is pretty much worthless

^^the woofers are getting to be worthless also...some dude came up to me and said he would pay me $70 to build him a box for 2 legacy 8's...and an amp rack for a audiobahn amp...so he was backwards....he said he owuld only pay me if it hit over 126dB in his truck cab....i was like dude both companies suck....and in order to get anywhere near even 120dB i would have to port them which is nearly impossible in a regular cab truck....told him id sell him 2 old AW10's i have and he might hit over 120....told him 275 w/box (man i love rippen retards off)...he said he would think about it....

actually the bahns aren't a sucking company. They just recommend bad boxes for their subs. You need to build the right box for them to work right. They don't take their rated power in a sealed box, only in a ported box.

so can i connect 1ch on both voice coils?

no, you bridge it to both subs, but dang, you won't even hear the subs. You will hear vocals out of it due to bad crossovers. you will be getting 200 watts to each sub. You will probably blow the subs underpowering them that much.

I had the same subs not to long ago, sold em already, but I had 460 watts going to each sub and they did hit pretty hard for the money. I had them in a ported box so that helped but I was in the high 120s running just one of them at 460. Didnt test with both of them. Good SPL sub for the money but SQ is in the toilet with them.

dude, I can get 140 with a single 15, you should have feeded it more power.

But the RMS on the thing is 400 and I was running it at 460 in a ported box. I dont think I could have hit much higher with just 1.

put them in 2.5-3 cubes EACH and tune to 35hz.... give them a lot of port area and you will be suprised. I ran a pair for a very long time and I even overpowered them by 100 watts each and they took it for almost a year.... Theese are the best sounding audiobahns I've heard and they're not bad budget woofers.
