grille painting

What is the best way to darken the front grilles. Ive heard of making washes to ink to actual painting with a fine brush. Will paint adhere to the chrome plating? I am attempting this for the first time so help would be greatly appreciated.

yes it can be done with ink or watered down paint thou ink is best jus brush it in the area u want it let it dry n you can wipe the dry ink off the raised areas as you go,

A black wash is the best way to go. Thin black paint(preferably flat) 10parts thinner 1 part paint
