I just passed 50K on my 2001 ZTS and the check engine light came on. Any advice ase to what I should be checking for?
Thanks

You should be taking it to the dealership and having them hook it up to the computer to see what it means.

The check engine light literally means 500+ things could be off on the car, it's not a question that can be answered just by saying the light is on. It requires diagnosis.

Be carefull taking it to the dealership, I did it when my light came on and they told me it was my O2 sensor. I replaced the O2 sensor and the light never when off. The computer reported the same problem. After further investigation by yours truly I found a tube was disconnected (hard to explain where it was, there is a thread I started on this issue, search for it). Once the tube was hooked up the light went off.

Before this incedent the light was coming on all the time. Other fixes were replacing the fuel filter, it's very easy to do, you should be doing it every 10-15,000 miles to avoid the next problem. The old fuel pump problem. Mine was replaced and I'll be damned if I'll let it get gummed up again and needs to be replaced. Just replace the fuel filter=no problems.
