you my friend, are a little bit of a moron.

when you accelerate your weight is transfered to the back, putting the weight on your back wheels.

when he acccelerates his weight is also sent to the back, but his car is FWD, so there is no traction.

doesnt take much to beat a civic, with nitrous

(NOS is a brand name, smart guy)

would changing your rear end also effect an automatic or is it only manuals?
thanks

changing the gear ratio in the rear-axle affects both...

i mean that "ultimate rear end" the other guy got, would that work on my automatic or is it only for manuals?

Chevyracincamaro

i dont know what the 'ultimate' one is but a rear-end is a rear-end, so long as it fits an f-body you can use it, regardless of driveline...

the traction should be relativly similar.. i think it has more to do with tires and suspension than wether or not its a FWD or RWD.. in a FWD the weight is transfered to the back, off of the drive wheels.. And its a lot easier to spin tires pulling (front wheel drive) as opposed to pushing (rear wheel drive)
But the torque comparison between the two cars would be more than enough to level out the playing field..

imo if someone loses a race, saying that "i had no traction" is no different than saying "i had no power" either way, you are admitting your car is inferior to the car you lost against..

and thats my 2 psi

going back to the thing said much earlier... the weight transfer thing... i'm pretty sure that overall the civic doesn't transfer much weight (it doesn't weigh but two pounds) plus the amount of torque a v8 has in comparison to the i4 actually tips the traction loss battle more towards the v8. it has so much more torque that lighting tires is all too easy, i mean, heck i can burn rubber while shifting, i don't usually see civics do that...

in conclusion: the civic lost, civics suck, and the civic lost :iceslolan
