How to take interior roof piece out?

Hey all, just curious if anyone has took out their carpet out on the interior on the roof of the car? If this is possible i was thinking about changing the color from that nasty gray to a blue that i put in the side door panels and all the dash pieces. Any help would be great, and if this piece dont come out im gonna have to try and get it on while the piece is on the car which dont seem like the greatest idea, but since the recent owner didnt take care of it at all, somehow a pop exploded and got all over the ceiling, so i have to do something about it, thanks

Its called a headliner, and yes it is possible.

Remove the two panels on either side of the windshield (between the doors and the windshield, 2 screws each) and then your rear view mirror.

There are tabs "stabbed" into the liner that lock into the roof and slide forward/backward (I think you slide it forward, it was a couple years ago) and it should come right out.

Before I got my sunroof installed I had actually sewed my falling headliner back up when I bought the car.
