my car is not turning over

my car is not turning over, could it be the coil pack?

did you check the battery??

be a little more exact....does it just make a clicking noise? Check the batt like thompson said, or check the starter.

it clicks it wants to start but it stalls afterward. doing the puffing nosie too then it stalls

I feel you man... my RS is doing the same thing. My dad changed the coils, crank sensor, oil pump and etc... still nothing. its been a 1 month. and nothing. So my dad orded a new ECU which should arrive here next week. Check your ECU and make sure its not dead. like my car... Everything is new anf fine but wont turn over. Ill let you know if the new ECU will make my car run agian

by the way i dont know if its exactly the ECU but lets hope.

yeah me and my dad did everything... rewire the loose wires... new wires, plugs etc... and nothing. And the brand new battery we have on there is almost dead because of all the cranking we did haha. just make sure your wired arent cut somewhere. But heres the story. My 96 Rs had a blown motor in it... but it was a friends car before i got it. They didn't want to wait for the motor and so they sold it to my dad for $700. It was sitting at our shop for at least 4 months so they sold it to us. So my dad went and got another motor for it and replaced everything i mean... new timing belt, battery, oil pump, crank sensor, ignition coils, etc.. alot of minor things too. So after it was done It started up so i took it home for 1 day and did a test drove. the next day there was a knocking in my motor and my dad knew it was the oil pump so he replaced that. After he got done he drove it around to test it out and after he got back and parked it.. thats when my car did't want to turn over. So thats how my stuff started and this time lets hope its the ECU. =\

yea i hope mine is a simple prolem. i know isnt the coil pack cuz i replaced it $149 and it still didnt work. where u located by the way?(just wondering)

kansas. I read up on it and it says this happend to alot of eclipses. Some of them dont want to turn over. This one guy brought his Dodge Stealth to our shop with is also a DSM. My dad check everything on it and it didnt want to turn over either.. same as the eclipse. He had the car in our shop for 2 weeks and we cant even find anything wrong with it beside it didnt want to turn over. So my dad told them to take it to a Mitsubishi dealership.. and to find it it was the ECU. Later when he got it home it died agian... so ECU thats what my dad is guessing. My car have the same problem as that guys car.

and his ECu turn out to be $2600 new =\

yea i replaced the coil pack but it still didnt work. i paid $149. i hope it is something simple. wher r u located at? (just wondering)
