Hi! Im a first time poster here but have found some useful info here so I was hoping maybe someone might help me out. I did a self install on my cd player and saw some sparks... the cd player works but now my dash lights and night time running lights do not. I did replace the fuse a number of times but the fuse just keeps blowing. I know it's most likely a shorted out wire somewhere but where would be the best place to take this problem?? like an audio place or like canadian tire? I was planning on getting a car starter before the canadian winter sets in would they maybe be able to correct the problem when i get that installed? Thx Crystal

I would look for a bare wire when you replaced the radio, I would also make sure that you did not hook up the dimmer wire from the light switch to a ground source on the radio..

Hi! Also a first time poster here, and I am having a similar issue. I did a self-install of a cd-player, and my dash lights behind the fan control, etc seem to flicker, and one has blown. Also, my temperature select knob is not working. This is a 2001 Dodge Stratus. I wanted to know if you knew of any locations of fuses pertaining to that area. I hope it is a connection or a fuse rather than the knob assembly itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Catch me on AIM @ MafiaBoss37

Thanks Guys!
