Adjustable Shocks for 2000 GTP?
KX2000GTP

When I bought my 00 GTP it had big, wide, lp 17" tires on it. If there is anything in the car other than me, (including my 40 lb. kid) and I hit a bump, or a dip in the road, the rear driver side wheel well scrubbs the tire and has nicked a semi-deep line around the top of the sidewall, in the tread. I put the car on level ground and rough measured the difference from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well and the driver side is roughly 1/2" - 3/4" lower than the pass.
Has anyone found adjustable shocks for a 00 GTP? Koni makes a set, but it says that
These Koni part numbers are actually for another vehicle very similar in weight and suspension characteristics of the W-body. Koni does not make a strut insert for the W body car.
Is the Grand Prix a W-body (don't laugh plz). And if so, has anyone used these and how do you feel about them?

Held makes coilovers for GP's. I have a set on my car. CHeck out the "97 Grand Prix" thread.
It just sounds like you have a bad strut or spring on that one side. You should try rolling the rear fenders w/ a baseball bat.

Those are the ones from The Grand Prix Store (opps) PFYC and they used a Taurus strut and koni insert.
There are also the GMPP konis and ive had them on the car since they were first released and have been very happy with them. The nice thing about them,is that they are plug and play and cost less then the ones from PFYC.....~Larry~

GM Performance Parts has worked extensively to produce a strut / spring combination to offer both ride and performance. Lowering springs reduce the ride height by (.9") in the front and (.7") in the rear. Higher rate coil springs add to your cars cornering ability. The flexibility of the "Adjustable" struts allow you to choose from a "Firm" to a "Soft" setting for the ultimate tunability.
For use on 1999 - 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo; 2000 - 2002 Chevrolet Impala; 1997 - 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. These lowering springs reduce the front ride height by .9 inches and rear ride height by .7 inches. Higher rate coil springs add to cornering ability and complement the adjustable struts. Struts accommodate compression/rebound adjustment easily from underhood (front) or in trunk (rear) with included adjuster knob. Adjustments can be made from a "firm" setting allowing maximum cornering to a "soft" setting approaching the ride quality of "stock" components.
This kit includes the following items listed by part number quantity and description:

KX2,
Just remember that the koni adj. struts arent going to allow you to raise or lower the height. They just adjust the dampening.
