Auto Grinding From 2nd to 3rd

The other day I had a bit of road rage and floored my TA to catch up with some jerk to yell at him. I regret doing that now, because my auto transmission grinds when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear when starting from a stopped position. Anyone have any ideas? thanks, Chris

This is a dumb question but does it make noise when it shifts??

Yeah, it makes a grinding noise, like if you weren't pressing the clutch all the way in, only it's an automatic.

Well theres a chance its the converter and/or flywheel.

Converter and/or flywheel for only 2nd to 3rd shift possible but not that likely. No one has recommended it but you should check your tranny fluid to see if it's low, burnt, or otherwise not good.
