I pulled the little hose off of the fuel pressure regulator and there was no raw fuel in the lin (whew!) Could it still be bad though? Is that the only sign?

Sign of what?? Need some more info like what is the truck doing ect.

A sign that the fuel pressure regulator is bad.

I think that is the only sign.
