Wow, its been awhile since I posted here.
I'm having a problem with my 1990 Park Ave. The passengers side arm rest is completely disconnected from the door closest to the dash, the back part of it is still connected though. I had the same problem with the drivers side door earlier this year. So anyways, I brought it in to get fix, they told me the clip that holds the armrest in place broke. I have no idea what clip they were talking about, but what I do know is that is costs $70 for the little plastic clip alone. Could anyone tell me if I could fix the armrest without buying this clip or a cheaper online place to buy one. The damn thing is driving me crazy. thanks.

I made a little hanger out of a 3 inch piece of plumbing strap. I used sheet metal screws to fix it to the door panel where there was more support.

I take it this is a common problem? How much work did it take to take the door panel and armrest off?
