I was at Jiffy Lube and was going to have the fluid changed and the filter? They wanted $89 to suck out the fluid and that includes the fluid cost, but they say the filter doesn't need to be changed. Is that right? They say newer cars filters are just screens and there is no need to change the filter. I have a Tyranny fluid leak and am hoping it is just a loose pan bolt. Anyone else been told this? Dealer wants $149 but I think this includes pan gasket and filter. Mine being a '98 does it have the up graded accumulater piston and springs I have been reading about?

I pulled the screen/filter myself and changed the fluid. Parts alone cost almlost 150 I would suck out the fluid if I had to do it agian. The gasket is the most expenisve part. But if you have a leak I would pull the pan and replace the filter and gasket anyways.
