I was driving along at about 65mph when the engine just died. It restarted on the first try. A week or so later, it did it twice again and restarted on the first try both times. Last thursday morning it went out again, but this time it would not restart. I replaced the ignition coil again, the computer control module and checked all engine related fuses and relays, still no spark. After doing a search of 1990 Bonneville SSE problems, I came across you forum site and I think the answer to my problem as well. Gleening from your posted threads, I now believe that it's the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Can anyone of you confirm/support this diagnosis? All info is appreciated.

Great car, bad electronics. To include poor blower, faulty power windows, faulty Driver Information Center, etc\etc\etc.

Replacing a bad Cankshaft position sensor is one of the solution. If that does not work then the Ignition control module might be bad.
This is from my experience on my 93' Bonny.

I agree that it's a crank position sensor.

Happend to me. Pulling harmonic balancer to replace sensor is fun good luck you need one hell of a impact wrench to get the bolt out. oh and a pully puller
good luck

Also when u go to replace the sensor u need a special tool to align the sensor to the balancer.might not want to do it urself!
