I'm a fan of Sig Sauers. I particularly like this P220 Sport w/ extended barrel. .45 caliber of course.
http://world.guns.ru/handguns/sig-p220_1.jpg

Next would be a Beretta 92FS, in silver, or chrome. It just looks nice.

Number 3 would be a IMI Magnum Research Desert Eagle, in chrome or two tone, or stainless steel. .50 Action Express of course.

I just like these guns because of their looks. I have no idea of how well they perform in real life.

Rifle wise: Colt M4A1 or M16A2 both with M203 grenade launcher attatchment; and the HK XM-29 OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon), M1 Garand, M1 Carbine

That looks like a beauty. My wife is moving from here 30-30 to a 260 Remington (youth model) http://www.remington.com/firearms/youth/m7youth.htm that 30-30 is just to large for her frame.

I haven't become a good enough shot to use the .45 for hunting yet.

$645 for this limited adition

i currently have a .270 browning for hunting. took down a elk when i was 15

and just for protection i have a taurus 9mm 24/7.
it seems that the aim is a little low, every time i go to the range, i'll have this thing right where i want it and low about 3inches it goes. it also might be the grain i'm using

Good company. My dad bought a .44 magnum from them. Gun is fuckin huge, and it's cool as hell to shoot it at night and see the ports on the top of the barrel light up.

:iagree: Taurus is a fantastic company. I accidently lost the spring-loaded latch in the top of the yoke on my snub nose 357 when I was out doing some target shooting. I sent the gun back to them and it came back in perfect working order - paid nothing but shipping to get it to them.

They take care of their customers :bigthumb:

i love Desert Eag's, 2 tone. such a bad-ass looking gun.

MP-5's are hot, and i love the futuristic look of the P-90.

and personally, i like Glocks BECAUSE they're so plain looking. *shrugs*

I don't care for Taurus too much. Their build quility has come up a great deal in the last few years, but for autopistols, I prefer European. I am military law enforcement, so I am required to carry the M-9 (Beretta 92 for you civilians) and it isn't my favorite. I personally carry a Walther P99 in .40 S&W which I love and a Walther PPK/S in .380. My hunting sidearm is a S&W Model 66 Combat magnum in .357. I hunt in bear and cougar country. That Taurus is one handsome firearm though.

I like the Hk USC

As I recall its not possible to buy the USC, nor the MP5 or MP7. Closest you can get is the HK54 (I think) which is the civilian version of the MP5. Its a three burst auto with a long barrel.

I wouldn't mind a S&W 500 Magnum for my nightstand.

As for conceal and carry thsi Browning Hi-Power Mark III would do me just fine.

I usually shoot at a local range, its their rifle not mine. I know the gun laws are different in the US than Canada, I know here you can buy assult weapons in canada if you have a resticed weapons permit and the weapon is limited to semi-auto and the magazine is not capable of holding more than 5 rds, 3 if used fo hunting.

I'm not a gun nut by any means, but I wouldn't mind having an FN P90 (I don't care if it's from Belgium) or an H&K G-36C. Both would be nice.

OOOOOOOOOH! SO PRETTY!

A National Guard member told me the P90 was inaccurate something fierce, though...

Go the USP!

H&K USP Tactical .45 w/ LAM :bigthumb:

I remember someone quoting about a Beretta 92FS with a silver finish, other than me, heehee. I've heard my cousin in the NYPD say that they suck, and I heard some other weapon specialists say that the 92FS isn't the greatest gun. I only like it cuz of the looks.

Sig Sauer P-220 series all the way.

I fire the berreta's all the time, they are a little heavy but im a big guy so thats no problem for me. granted they arent the most accurate pistol but they arent as bad as alot of people make them out to be. I have no problem getting 10 rds within a 2" grouping at 35 yards doing the standard "2 to the chest, one to the head drill" . You could always try Para-ordinance, Colt has some nice pistols, The HK's are nice to.

I read once on the Sig Sauer website, quoted by actual owners that the Sig P220 series were the most accurate hand guns out of the box. Correct me if I am wrong.

There are so many factors that effect the accuracy of a gun, its hard to say whats is the best gun, alot of it boils down to personal preferance, i personally can shoot great with a berreta but if i switch to the Glock 21 it takes me about half an hour before i get used to the gun again. I was trained on a berreta so thats my personal weapon of choice, Im used to it, I can pick it up unload 10 rds in 8 seconds with incedible accuracy, if i were to pick un a glock it would take me some time to compensate for the differences. Sig Sauer's are nice guns, they are machined very well, but because of tyhe size of mu hands i find that the balance isnt right and I tend to shoot low and to the right. If i were to buy a gun right now I would probably gor the the Para-ordinace P14-45

I like the feel of this gun and the balance is pefect for me

yeah i was use to my moms 357 magnum, so going from that to my 9mm, it usually takes a whole 50 rounds before i can get my aim down with that gun.

now a rifle on the other hand is a diff story

heres my grouping at 35 yards with the berreta aiming at center mass:

and with the glock aiming at the heads :disappoin

As for the rifles i can hit the X at 100 yards almost everytime if there is no cross wind

Berretas are fine for the range, however they are tempermental bastards and are only service weapons because they are cheap.

Why do you go for the one in the head, two in the chest groups out of interest?

How's y'all opinions on the Sig Sauer P220 Series ex. P220, P226, P228, P229, Sig Pros, .45 and .357 caliber?

The instructor I had trained us that way. I learned to shoot rifles while I was an army cadet, then I became a Civilian Volunteer with the cadet corp so I was allowed to take small arms training with some of the guys from the cadet corps support unit. The instuctor trained us that way, he said "your side arm does not contain armour piercing rounds so in close combat fire 2 at center mass then 1 at the head for the final take down. Put that mother fucker down permantly" It also mixes it up a little bit, if you constantly shoot at center mass you are always shooting with the same stance, same elevation extra.... next time you are at the range fire at the head, many of you will find it alot harder to hit because you are used to shooting at a particular height.

If anyone is looking for a cheap gun look at hi-point. I know alot of people have alot of bad things to say about them, but it's usually people who have never shot them. I bought one as my first pistol and still use it now for just about anything. For under $150, you really can't go wrong. I have put over 2k rounds through mine with only a few misfires, which were while using cheap target ammo. It still holds a 3in group at 25 yards which is fine with me. My personal favorite carry and overall choice is the Kimber custom TLE, expensive but worth everypenny.

Just by coincidence,I had the chance to meet a couple of internet friends at a shoot today.

Squeezed off a few rounds with a Ruger Vaquero single action 44/40 cal, and a replica 1894 Marlin 44/40 cal.The guns belong to my friend, who is a little on the short side.ThE rifle stock took some getting used to,but it was a lot of fun...

First time I've handled a serious gun in over 20 years,Had a lot of fun.
