Got a quick list of questions for anyone who's willing to help me out, i have a 1988 Camaro with a jasper 305 TBI engine, i know these engines are real bad performance engines but does anyone have any info on how to kick it up a little, i'm 18 and in school so my budget is a little limited or else i would just throw in a 350, right now all i've done to it is throw on a flow master cat back exhaust system with a series 80 muffler and also put on a k&n filter, i was looking to up the carb and intake manifold but am wondering if thats even remotely sane to do with it being tbi, should i just stick with a higher end 2bbl or up it to a nice 4bbl, help! thanks to any and all who post it's greatly appreciated

your car in fuel injection so buying carb wont help unless you planing on changing it

well you handled the basics, id up it to a set of headers, the heads on those engines suck, so go with a set of torquer 305 heads, or a set of milled down vortecs, youll have to keep the small 1.94/1.5 valves, but a three angle valve job would help, up the cam, i like comp cams xtream energy line, or a nostalgia cam like a 30/30 or something along those lines. for intake, edelbrock sells several TBI intake manifolds, and you can top it with a 5.7L truck TBI Throttle body for more airflow, or a brand new holley unit. those are pretty much the basics of hoppin up a 305.
and i dont know if he ever gets on anymore, but 92RS is the TBI 305 guru, id drop him a PM and see if he gets it.
