98 Maxima Remote Control Problem

The panic button on my stock remote does not do anything. I want it to beep when I press it. Every other button works fine.

You need to hold the panic button to set off the horn/alarm.

When I hold the button, light inside of the car comes on and thats about it. Anything I can do to make it beep when i press and hold the button without rewiring.

Check your fuses. There are two horns on a maxima. 1 is the one you push on your steering wheel and the second one is the alarm horn. I would open your engine and check the horn located next to your belts. Check to see if it unpluged or maybe a bad connection. Someone please correct me on this.
