When you ring up and order Pizza, I'm the guy who drops it off!
I also wash dishes when there are no deliverys.
It's pretty cool, I hate the dishes side, but I work with hot chicks, and I've gotten, in the past 7 days, 3 free pizza's, a 1.25l bottle of sprite, and a garlic bread, FREE
....And I lost 120 bucks, PAYING FOR NEW GODDAMN TIRES CAUSE SOME ASSHOLE SLASHED THEM.

my job blows....
I am an expiditer at a Chili's restaurant.
I put orders together and make sure the food looks good and all the orders are put together correctly before they go out to the tables.
On the plus side, I make around $20 an hour.

Oi! And to think you make almost as much as me doing that!
I'm a technician for Mercedes Benz. I fix broken Mercedes to put it lightly, the other half of the time I tell the customer that their car is functioning properly and that they're an idiot for not knowing their own vehicle. Whoops, that must be the alcohol talking.
I make like $23/hr, flat rate.

Karen, you're an expo? that's a stressful job. the one day at my restaurant, the expo didn't show up so they yanked me up there to do it. there's alot of pressure that you wouldn't think of!
anyways, i'm a cook at a restaurant chain here in Ontario called Casey's bar and grille. kinda like an Applebee's or TGIFriday's, but so far it's Ontario-only with 32 locations.
anyways, i make $8 an hour and work either the salad/desert section or the deep-fryer/oven section.
i get about 35 hours a week right now, which isn't really enough. this week i have an interview at a banquet hall that will pay $10 an hour and give me 40+ hours a week. i'm going to be applying around as well.
kenwood guy - they may technically be wearing paint, and they may be hot (hey, i'm still a normal guy despite being a mod!) but the women in your avatar and sig are not AF apprpriate. please remove or replace them. thank you.

it's the same with being a cook. you just have to keep calm and not lose your temper. you can't let the pressure get to you. when i first started, i had never worked in a restaurant before, and when i would get swamped with orders, i would start doing everything wrong because of the pressure. i'd burn things, undercook things, drop things etc. and the servers would be yelling at me. you've just got to keep up with yourself and not let the pressure get to you.
and you're so right about it being rough...saturday nights are the worst.
at any given time on an average day, the maximum ammount of orders i'll have at once will be maybe 4 or 5. the one saturday night, i had over 30 orders. and that was just my section! the rest of the kitchen was swamped too. they had to get 4 of the servers to come back and help me get out of the weeds.
that's exactly why i try to avoid saturday dinner shifts now. hehe.

I just don't feel like sharing what money I make to a bunch of people I don't know.
Do you ask every random person you meet how much they make?
I know exactly how you feel. I didn't say how much I get either because of that reason
with my last job, my own friends didn't believe me when they asked.
I worked in this direct sales job for about 4 months, and I've been living of savings all year.
Although the pay was really high for my age, I had to get my own work.
My friends thought I was bullshitting when I told them how much I made (they asked, after I spent 1.1k on a new guitar, 900 on a new camera, and 800 on a new car, and over 1.2k doing it up, not to mention paying 1/4 of my uni fees off)
I got a new job (delivering pizza's) as my funds were not limited, and I wanted something to do, I get board really easily.

I have have worked in a car dealership for the last 9 years selling parts wholesale and all over the world. I get paid salary and commission so my pay fluctuates but last year I averaged around 34.00 per hour if i were working normal 40 hour weeks. Sometimes I log over 50 hours per week but I don't keep track of my hours since i'm not required to clockin. Even though I make quite a bit i'm still broke as shit because I spend all my money on beer and cigs.

I love my job, a few days a month I run my programs and just sit back and watch if anything goes bad. So usually I'm cruising the net. When the work load gets too much, I take some home and do it there.
