how bad will the rub be if i get 215-40-17 tires for a 95 civic?

because there should be plenty of room for your stock wheels between the top of your tire to the wheel well. And unless your lowering it, or increasing the diameter of your wheel a lot, there will not be any rub. And 215/40/17 is not a dramatic increase in size.
And why are you asking me if i know if it'll rub or not, when your asking me how much it'll rub. Your not really making much sense.

haha, because i've heard some people say 215/40/17 will rub on a civic when you do fast turns..so i am not sure. and i am asking how do you guys determine whether it would rub or not. hope that's clear now.
btw, how much can i lower without rubbing it? i have coilover on right now, i can adjust the height.

Why not just go with 205's and play it safe?
...if you have coilovers then you can answer the "how low can you go" Q for us :flipa:
Seriously, I would go with 205 that way you know you can drop it low where with 215 may limit on how low you can go. Just my opinion though

Are the 215/40's a lot thicker than 205/40's :confused:
I've seen 45's and they just don't have the low-profile look.

Well if you have coilovers, you can determine all that yourself right? But I doubt 215's at stock height would rub unless your going like 100 and do a sharp right turn or something, or unless you have like 10 people sitting in the back. But if your getting a good deal, then go for it, then the next set of tires you buy you can get 205's
