Priming Engine/Suspension Parts

Do you do it? I think I posted a similar question waaayy back but didn't get much response. I've never tried it as I'm afraid it might get too thick in smaller parts to fit properly. But what are your thoughts on this?

I haven't done it on a project yet, but probably will soon...

I will tell you when I paint those parts on the Ferrari as the tree was molded out of black plastic so I primered the whole thing to make the light colours easier to paint.

Prime everything before you paint as the primmer helps make the paint stick better.

that goes without saying doesn't it?

All my first models I made I never primed anything, and it shows. They look so much rougher than the latest ones.:(

Ok, I just finished priming all the parts and body of my Fujimi Mugen Integra. All the parts turned out fine but the body had lumps in some places. I thought primers stick to the surface really well so it doesn't droop?? I used Tamiya Surface Primer for this. I don't think I put too much on it too cause I was planning on doing another coat. I guess thats where the saying goes practice makes perfect:(
