hey... to swap the heads, can you change a distributor,intake/exhaust manifold and perform a timing job? its quite easy, just a little bit of work. The manual will come in handy and you can use the new head gasket phrase in selling it.

And when you get the head gasket, get one from a D16y8 96-98 civivc ex... it's a metal gasket

If I did it 4 times, you can do it once, the hardest thing I did to a car mechanically by myself before this was change my radiator. So grab a manual, and some tools, you need 10mm 12mm 14mm and 17mm Sockets/wrenches-get a torque wrench also. And if you get those rachet wrenches, they will save a lot of time, also there is a bolt underneath the intake manifold that is a BITCH to get to, so when it won't come off, jack the bitch up and get up under it. LOL I can take my head off and put it back on in my sleep now. :icon16:

ya man its not hard at all but use a 92-95 civic d16z6 head gasket its cheaper and its also metal. (side note the first time I did a head off and back on, it took about 4 hrs, 2 weekends ago about 45 mins). Like everybody else said take your time.
