Shifter bounces? (firebird)

I know this might seem like a stupid question, but I am going to ask anyway. I just bought a 00 Firebird, and I noticed that the shifter bounces a little (up and down) while driving. Mostly as I go over bumps..Is this normal? I had it checked at the place I bought it and they said it was a tranny mount which has been replaced, but it still does it. It is a 3.8...5 speed.

probably, if its bouncing then its probably not mounted properly or the mount is shot

I'd take it back and tell them to fix it...

ditto...get it checked out by someone you trust. Thats the key, don't let some dipweed rip you off!!
