96 accent cheap, should i buy it?

my mom wants to sell me a 96 accent for $1,000. it has on 58 K miles on it and has run great for her. It had an exaust minifold recall but that's it. No rust, no scratches, has gone through some rough wisconsin winters and still seems strong. Would this be a good buy at this price?

p.s. it is an automatic.

I got my 95 for $600, manual 45k, no rust....
so maybe you can lower her down to $750 or something.
*sigh* I really got to paint my car... the factory red is disgusting.
