ignition switch

Anyone tell me if you have to pull steering wheel to change ignition switch.I think Ihave 2 problems with my 97.Key wont come out had
to pull plug on bottom cover and depress solenoid manually to get to lock position.
Also no start gave black contact block a tap and working now.
Is interlock seperate item from cylinder and switch.Need some pointers
on disassembly.

If your are talking about the key set, yes you do. If your talking about the electrical switch, no you shouldn't.
