Choke will not set

When I push the gas the choke will not set. It works fine if I set it by hand. What could it be.

Yea, I guess I should have put what year. It's a 82 with the 2.8

Yea, I've cleaned it two or three times with no results.

isit a manual or electric choke?

I'm not sure I think it might be a electric choke.

Get yourself a manual choke kit conversion.Not hard to put on and then you know when the choke is on.

Can any one tell me where the choke is located at. The year of my truck is an 82 2.8. Anything about this problem will be helpful.
