Oil Change

Wanted to get an idea on what an oil change cost? Independant shop or Dealer?

every other 7500 miles will cost you 220.00, every 15k miles will cost you 350.00, every 30k will cost you 800.00. these are dealer prices for the tampa area and they are services not just oil changes. very important that you get the oil service and not just the oil change.

Not bad, not bad. My Acura services almost cost this much. Are there any other maintenance items or hidden costs to look out for? The more I look through this forum, the more I'm convinced that the Boxster is within reach. :)

Do It Your Self mate.
Get the oil, get the filter, jack the car up a little bit, drain the oil, put the filter in, then the new oil. Bam! New oil. Cost=30 bucks. Saved=$$Shitloads$$

Changing oil is the 3rd easiest thing. Number two is replacing the inside light globe, 1 is actually putting fuel in the bastard!

the only other out of pocket costs would be clutch replacement and brake pads, rotors, and sensor replacement. a clutch replacement will run you ~1500.00 - 2000.00 and front pads, rotors, and sensors will run you ~600.00. rear pads, rotors, ans sensors will run you ~600.00
