found a gst.

Okay i found a spyder 1997 gst, and finally got the info on it. its black with the paint kind of chipped on hood for freeway driving to work everyday. it was his commuter car everyday ever since he took it out the dealer. 1 owner. he has all the receipts of him taking it to the dealer for regular maintenece and parts he replaced. thing is it was drivin everyday to work and has 130,000 miles on it. he says nothing is leaking and the engine is in good condition. and everything works. he is selling it for 6,800. thats cheap over here in my area cuz they usually go for 9k^

im gonna go see it on saturday and want to know wat should i look for when i test drive it?

he says he has new brakes and new tires, and is trying to get the money for a down payment. he has it in a cover parked cuz he dont want to put anymore miles on it. so yeah i hopefully everything is ok.

I think thats a good excuse for george to change the hood to a cf hood :biggrin: , if he buys the car. Let us know what happens.

yea im thinking to get cf hood cuz im prob gonna replace it anyways. its really chipped cuz of all the freeway driving. he repainted the front bumper cuz that looked really bad he said. so when i go talk to him imma bitch about how the hood is fucked up and it has too many miles and shit like that. and money i got left over start moddin :D

I really want to get a CF bumper but I've heard way too many horros stories about the hoods warping, fading, bad fitment, etc...just like body kits. Any comments?

(PS...I like the invader style CF hood...anyone know what happens if it rains and the water goes through the vent onto the engine? I mean, yeah, du, your shitll get wet but....damage? What happens to the Evo hood in rain? Some sort of bypass valve to prevent water?)

A little water isn't going to hurt anything. You can pressure wash the engine bay minus intake and battery, but I don't like hood scoops/vents so...

yeah , huh? I am sure during mild/heavy rains, water is bound to come through by the gallon,and if youre on the move, cold stuff on very hot stuff leads to cracking stuff which is BAD stuff. lol.
