you have a verbal agreement with someone to have something done by within a specified time. And then when that time has passed that ohter person says he/she never specified a time parameter.
It pisses you off because you can't do anything about it really and you know you should've gotten it in writing, but didn't think this person would do something like that.. so it's your word versus theirs..
Always get things in writing or if it's in writing, SAVE that document...

Actually depending on laws in your area, sometimes you CAN be bound by a verbal contract. As for doing business with friends, we have learned it doesn't always work....you need to make sure you REALLY trust this person and that they will follow thru.
