Obd II codes

I have a 1999 Accent that has the check engine light on, and intermittantly does not shift properly. The codes I am seeing are:

P0722-Output Speed Sensor Ckt-no signal
P0717-Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A Ckt-no signal
P1624-Manufac Control Aux inputs, Aux outputs

Like I said, the problem is intermittant, only happening once or twice a day. Is this a continuity problem with the leads from the speed sensor in the speedometer to the ECU? Before I take it to the dealer for a check, I just thought I would post here and see what I get.

Last year the tranny kept going into fail-safe mode, and the Pulse-Generator was changed. That was under warranty, now, of course, the warranty has expired.

Any ideas?

hello there are several tsb's for the code you mentioned . In my experience replacing the pulse generators have solved this issue . go to hmaservice.com and check out what they have written . It may be the reed switch behind the cluster but i have only had to change one of them in my career as an auto tech .

So the diagnotics refered to in the buletin goes basically like this 1 replace the puls generators
2 if that doesent work replace the reed switch
3 if that doesent work replace the tcu
4 if that doesent work replace the wiring harness .
