Here is the deal, for valentines day I'm getting a VAFC controller for my lude, and I don't know or trust anyone around here to put it in. So I'm gonna venture and try to do this myself if its not to hard. So I was wondering if anyonre could tell me what difficulty this will be, what tools are needed and step by step directions to do so. Thanks

Thanks Iīd guess the biggest problem will be to dyno it on your own whitout a dyno!;)

I mean call me stupid but why would I need to dyno it after I put the VAFC on?

to set everything so that you get the most power out of it.
If you leave it untuned, then you may not get the most out of it possible and you might even hinder the performance.

For instructions on installing the VAFC go here. http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentation/electronics_vafc.pdf This tells you how to install the VAFC.

Here's an "unofficial" site on the install...pretty good resource too:

yo dev, you want matt to do it? or you gonna try? matt said he'll do it for you. you need to go to engineered and put it on the dyno to adjust the weak points in your fuel system. you will get good power gains just be prepared to fork over 60$ for a dyno.

read through instructions, solder your connections, and setup the car correctly..that is my tip. i did mine...took me a long time to do it, but it's working great. :D

Hey just read the VAFC manual. It tells you how to install it already. One thing i'd learned when i was installing the VAFC. Make sure tap the oil pressure wire from the VAFC on to the line instead of cutting from the harness like the manual tell you too. If you do that you will redline before your usual redline. For all the other wires follow it just like the manual tells you to.
