Trunk latch motor

Hey everyone.

My motor to my trunk does not work anymore and i cant figure out why. Any suggestions on how to fix it or where i can buy a new one?

could be anything. bad ground, no power, shorted wire, bad motor, bad switch. have you tried both the keyless remote and the button in the glove box?

glove box?? my 3rd gen don't got no glovebox my buttons in the center console in between the 2 window buttons

specifics specifics. in the fourth gens its in the glovebox. point is to remove the possibility of the problem being just in the button...

wtf, mine is left and down of the steering wheel

Yeah there is no button in the glove box its left of the steering wheel lower, below the lights

Well anyway could be the button, motor or somewhere in between...

ok people, again with the details. if you want to be specific: in the 93 to 97 camaros the hatch release was in the glovebox, on the passenger's side. anything else? would you like me to tell you the color, maybe the shape? i could go out and measure for you if you like...

in my 1991 camaro conv rs i found the motor in my trunk but still cant find how turn it on

can you hear the motor trying to work? cause they all have a little plastic gear in them and they will strip out. you could try packing it with some grease, sometimes that works.

check for power and grounds, make sure power is going through the switch in the center console, and is getting back to the motor, if you have power, check your ground on the far side of the motor, and if you have that, then the motor burned out, and you need a new one.
