Need help plz

I was wondering If any one could tell me how i could remove the rust from my body. Its not that bad but i want it gone so i can do some body work and then get it painted. So i figured one of you guys/girls would have an idea.

Well if it doesnt crumble when you touch it - an seems solid just take it down to bare metal - i had roof rust i used a sanding pad on a grinder ... ya gotta be careful it can take it down fast depending on how bad the rust is...

well it is crumbling a little bit. What should i do if it is crumbling??? I will have pics in a lil bit. But with it crumbling will it need to be replaced or can it be filled or something?¿

if u wanna do a good job.. id take a too a shoop.. tell them to cut the metal off and then weld a new peice of meettal in there for u.. n once they do that.. u cover the whole thing with body filler... n once filler dries.. sand it with ruff sand paper... and then get a puttyy n fill the air bubles n such.. and then sand again with ruff sand paper.. n then sand with fine girt sand paper.. to give it a finishing touch.. n then go grab som factory paint.. n paint that spot off :D

well how much do u think that will cost for them to do that...?

well.. i had a bad russt around the back wheel on the pasanger side.. on the bottom.. like there was a big whole.. i took it to a shop.. the guy welded a new sheeek of meter.. (pretty Long n Wide) For About 50 Bucks CDN

its the best way to do it.. i had a 88 accord with a shit load of rust.. n it just wont work right if u dont cut it out.. if u dont cut it,... rust will allways come back.. just cut it n get rid of it for gooood

yah that is prob what i will do.. thanx that shit just puts a damper on the paint and the rest of the body work on the car imma get that done in a few days and i will post some pics...
