Well posted not to long ago about a problem with my 89 non turbo supra auto. Fixed the problem before,it turns out water got into the spark plug chamber and they wouldnt kick over. Now during the proccess of getting the water out we took the ISC off to get to the plugs,we have an idle problem. Before the thing reved itself up to 4000 then gradually whent down reving itself so we realized we put the thing on wrong. When we whent to see how it idled once more it goes around 2000 and 1500rpms and we know this is not normal and on top of it all we still cant drive it because the thing chokes anywhere past 2000 rpms and we think its the ISC or one of the plugs we couldnt get at because we would have to take the throttle body off. So what i need to know if this is a problem that i can fix or if this is a porblem i need to consult a machanic with because i hear clicking with the ISC btu not sure if thats whats clicking ither way i do hear it. SO if you could tell me your oppinions or help me fix this that would be awsome :uhoh:

Well, no offence but I'm not required to answer every single question on this forum, I choose answer the harder ones that can not be easily found by a simple search. As for your question, don't be lazy, pull the TB off and get to #3 & #4. What do you mean it revved up to 4K rpms? Are you saying on startup it revved up and then went back down, that's not normal obviously. If the ISC is clicking shortly after you shut the engine off then it is working, it might not be working 100% though, try taking it off and spraying the inside with carb cleaner or something to get the carbon out. Have you pulled the codes yet? What all did you take off/unplug while cleaning the plug valleys out? Post back with the stored codes and maybe I can help more, you could have very well shorted something out like the TPS or any number of things.

... If you didn't take the throttle off, how did you clean out the other plugs? They hold water by 2's. You have to take it off to do anything plug-related, but taking it off isn't hard. 4 bolts take it off the manifold and the linkage pops off

Ok we are takeing the throttlebody off and we cant get it to budge we got all 4 bolts but we have a kind off t pipe and all the throttle pieces still attached but still it should move a little bit and when we get that then we will worry about the throttle stuff and.....that t pipe thing that is attached to the throttle body.

Well heres what i did we took the tb off and cleaned out the chamber and got new plugs. Cleaned out the tb and such yet we still have the same problem yet the engine sounds great alot better than before. So anywho we rev it up to 2000rpms and it chokes and it still idles very high about 1500 but after it starts up goes to 2000 then gradually drops to 1500. Im all outta idea we think it might be the ISC so we are going to get a new one of those and see what happens but that whont solve out chokeing problem....well let me know thx
