Ok, I know it was another civic, but I NEVER see 4th gens in my town so I had to. Anyway. There was this dx hatchie ahead of me at a stop light, but he was over in the next lane. He had exaust, black racing wheels and stuff, so I was like ok. He took off, I got behind him and we went down the highway and it was really hard to catch him, like I was slowly gaining on him. And that was like well after 3rd gear we're going like 90-95 then I start slowly catching up. I thought I could have him from a start. I knew it wasn't stock lol. We got a red light, and this new 350Z pulled up right inbetween us LOL, I yelled "YOU WIN!" to the chick in the Z and got ready to launch. The light turned green, I was out in front (of course the Z was pullin) I left the hatchie by about 2 cars by the end of 3rd gear, and the Z was only about 2 cars ahead of me going steady up to 100-110 which I was surprized about! Anyway, the dude in the hatchie pulled up next to me in the turn-around, and we talked for a couple mins. I found out he had an LS motor! Pretty stock he said but hey! LS is 1.8L DOHC right? against my Mini-me. My old clutch doesn't take it well when I try to race, reall slippery shifts and such, and I haven't fully tweaked my timing out yet. I think I can get more outta her! Anyway anyone believe me? LOL

If the guy has an LS motor and you beat him with a mini-me he should be shooting himself right now, or sending his car to someone who knows how to drive it.

Well then I thought the same thing, is the LS motor VTEC also? He said it was pretty stock, I am meeting him at the local get together this wednsday, so I will find out if he's lying about his motor.

I could see you beating an LS Integra maybe due to those being heavy, but a b18a/b in our light 4g's should be able to beat you mini-me swap, with ease...in my opinion.

I have an HF body, DX tranny, also with Stage 2 Cam, VAFC, full straight exaust, and I have the D15B2 block which is supposed to have higher compression when used with the mini me. I donno, I just raced my friends 1st gen turbo talon, boosting like 12 lbs, and with a bad start on my part he doesn't pull on me that hard till about end of 3rd gear, up to like 70-75 he's only gotten about 1 1/2-2 cars on me. I DONNO I'll find out on wednsday what he really has under the hood, and as soon as I get my new tranny, clutch, lighter rims, and ecu put in I'm going to the track so I will know for sure.

I could almost keep up with my friends integra with a B16 (before he had his Vtec hooked up). Integras are heavy as hell. All my friends want me to put an LS or a B16 in my car. But now its not even running...

quiXilver, I thnk your full of it. I say that because I compair it to mine. I have a 91 DX with a fully rebuilt D15B2 just like your's, except mine is bored 40 over with performance clutch and trany from an SI. I aslo have a performance chip and magna flow from the cat back. I will say that I can beat a few cars on the road, but any speed over 65, the acceleration is nothing to brag about. Saying that you had this guy at 110 and that the Z was 2 car length ahead of you is just redicules. She was NOT getting on that Z if she was only 2 lengths ahead. She just wanted you to get a hard on and tell your buddies you could of took her with some "timing" improvments. Hell, I race a new chevy with the 5.3 ( knowing i would be sucking in his fumes) and by 60 he was a good 4 lengths ahead of me. A Z will waste a 5.3, a B18 will waste you and I will waste you.

yeah, but do you have a camed mini-me?? I think 100 % its feasible, mainly because i drive a set up almost identical, well I did till this week, with what he is running low 15's and prehaps down into the 14's isn't unlikely... which is right where the ls is going to be...

Does your car have a sunroof? If it doesn't, I think you need to put one in so you can fit your big head in there. A fully rebuilt D15B2? If you were to pay attention, I have a HF body which is what more than 100 lbs lighter than yours, AND you probably have DPFI, which licks ass compared to MPFI, I have a 1.6L VTEC head on my D15B2 block which = about 10.2 to 1 comp. ratio, header, straight pipe all the way back, intake, integra ECU, and stage 2 comp cam+adjustable cam gear. The reason your acceleration sucks over 65 it's 'cause you don't have VTEC. I do. If you were to check my posts over the last couple of years, I don't come on here to bullshit, so why don't you rethink what you said, and wipe your mouth of all the brown stuff.

I'm not going to appoligise for getting on you and you should back up off of me. For you info I do have a MPFI, oh and no sunroof smart ass. So your body is 100 lbs lighter? DANG, you must be, what, 1/10 quicker throught the 1/4 mile? I would race for pink slips just with that! You need to get you head out of the clouds to jerkoff.

vtec doesn't automatically make you quick, but when you through a cam in the mix it speeds things up quite rapidly...
Its not all that inconcievable that a HF with 130-140 hp can out run a dx with a ls with 140, and slightly more torque than him...

I'm thinkin a hatch with 140hp and (126 torque I think) should (just my guess) be able to beat a mini-me swap onto a b2 block. Even with 130hp or so you still don't have the torque the LS has.

Yea it was a good one. I still think he is talking out his ass though. I by no means think my car is fast. It's reliable and cheap to own. Only reason I have a rebuilt engine is because when I went to get the oil changed the day I bought it, they didnt put Any oil back in. Withen 50 miles, the engine was as good as a brick. I'm not going to argue with quiXilver any more, he's like a kid, always has to be right. My car is transportation and I dont plain on making it a race car. If I was single, yes, but I'm getting married in Dec. Later guy's.
