hey could u beat an evo with a lancer

ok the lancer is front whell drive righ evo is all whell drive so i was wondering if i convert a lancer 2 an evo would it be tha same or how much would i have 2 pay for a 4whell conversion

there's no practical way to convert the us lancer into and evo. you could beef up the engine and turbo it and get roughly the same HP output as the evo, but by that time it may have been cheaper to buy and evo.

well the money to make a lancer as good as an evo ids not worth and its really hard to do

In import tuner they sell a supercharger kit for the lancer adds 100 horsepower and if you do alot of engine work you could beat an evo

IMHO, the easier way for one to beat an EVO 8 with a FWD Lancer in the 1/4 is to strap a Pratt & Whitney J-60 on the Lancer. : )

why do people ask questions that they know the answers to??? of course you can beat an evo with a lancer . you just have to have the money to do it with the right amount of money you can do anything. there's a ralliart in P.R. that is putting some nice numbers on the 1/4 that the evo ain't gonna touch.

Yea, maybe a stock Evo.

the body on the evo is different in almost every way. if you look at the rear quarter panel, that frame inbetween the rear window, and the back window from the side view, its thicker than the regular lancer. the evo is wider overall too, wider front, and rear fenders. the evos chassis is a lot stiffer than the regular lancer, by about 65 percent, so you would have to weld some bracings all around the front and the rear to make it as stiff. i believe the evo also has different front and rear suspenson. then of course you have the engine, and the awd system. this is not turning a 4 door neon into a srt-4, those two are a lot closer in spec, and a lot easier to convert.

if your gonna convert a car to awd, you should get an older car that you can get for really cheap, like a mitsubishi mirage. you dont wanna spend so much money that you could of gotten a brand new evo.

anycar can beat an evo if u put time and effort and of course cash into it. Lancer could beat a evo if someone put their effort into it. you could probably have make it fast like an evo , it would less then buying an evo though. you could only beat a stock evo. that my 2 cent
