Hey all,
Guys, I've recently bought my first Toyota. I've owned Fords, Dodges and GM's up to this point. I guess I grew tired of the high maintenance and repairs on domestic cars. Before buying this one I've listened to people praise the quality of the Corolla. I guess my question is this; has anyone anything really negative to say about the Corolla? Are there any common problems with them? Thanks

Paul,
I just drove a Mazda Protégé to 330,000 Kilometres and gave the car away. Amazingly it still ran quite well. Toyota's established their reputation in North America because of their reliability, when North American makers thought reliability was a dirty word. Remember the concept of "planned obsolescence;" the Japanese never bought into that philosophy, only the North American auto makers - no wonder the decline of the American auto. Every make has an Achilles heel, but your vehicle should be just fine. I have the Corrolla LE and it is ticking along just fine - a 2003.
