this may not have much to do with 240s, but i always find it interesting to know how people support their cars.. like what kind of jobs people have..

i myself am a prep shop technician at one of the top 3 lexus/toyota dealerships in canada, but we are owned by the same family that owns an infinity/nissan dealership down the road so i get to see all the new infinity and nissans... other than that, i'm a cook at a bar/grill...

dude, i dont think people are interested in this post. Anyways, i work for a guy with his own little business, under the table, the business is called Final Touch Products. We make refrigerator panels out of acrylic and stainless steel. Theres a lot of money involved and i get to work almost whenever i want and i drive 3 other cars: Chevy Suburban, Toyota 4runner, and my favorite Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, man that thing flies. I get paid OK. Enough to get a s13 front conv. and pay for gas insurance and help my folks with the bills and rent.

I work at a pizzeria. It is also my favorite restaraunt so its all good. Six an hour and I have bought my entire turbo kit by saving with each check. Fifty hours a week isn't a lot of fun, but its worth it.

16 and working as a cook? lol Did you have any training? Anyways, I'm working at Canadian Tire, for all you non-canadians, it's like Wal-Mart except better, well not my Canadian Tire cause it's the dumpiest one in the country with the worst customers, and it sucks cause I'm in the sports departement and I make minimum wage (7.65 canadian an hour). I wanted to be transfered to the auto parts departement, but it's full, it's full with people that don't even know what brake calipers are for christ sake! Sopathetic...I wonder why it's the worst one in the country...

09-15-2004, 12:13 AM

it is actually pretty easy, all you have to do is read what the waitress writes down, and then prepare and serve it.

TheLogikal1
09-15-2004, 12:41 AM
dude, i hated it when waiters/waitresses didnt put their name or server number and i didnt know whos name to yell out...freakin newbs...

Suislide
09-15-2004, 01:45 AM
at my restaurant we have a computer that the server puts the order into, and it comes up in front of you in the kitchen on a printer with their name on it. so you don't have to try to read their writing or worry if they don't put their name. for those of you in the States, Casey's is a chain of sit-down restaurants, something like Applebee's or TGIFriday's. so i guess being a corporation instead of a single restaurant give us a bit more money to work with.

and as for me, i'm 19 and had never worked in a restaurant before. but i was still hired at mine. i had everything in the 2 sections that i work (salad/desert and deep fryer/oven) down pat within a month or so. then just last month we got a totally revamped menu, so we had to learn everything all over again. but now, a month later, and i've got it down pat again. i've been there for 8 months now.

hey logik23, what Crappy Tire do you work at?

logik23
09-15-2004, 02:06 AM
The Crappy Tire in Montreal, in Plaza Cote-Des-Neiges. The Ghettoest part of the city, every block you'll see about 5 pinos driving rusted civics or accords with chrome trim everywhere and chrome spinner wheel covers, they also have flames on their seat covers and steering wheels and they bought all the crap at Canadian Tire!!! lol Oh and they are all automatics...

logik23
09-15-2004, 02:07 AM
Also, I've never heard of Casey's , i guess it's one of many things they have everywhere in Canada except in Quebec...Where's yours? Toronto?

To all the americans, Quebec is to Canada what California is to the US, there's a different set of rules for everything.....lol

Logik - as far as i know, there are only Casey's in Ontario thus far. although there might be one or 2 in Quebec City or the like...i'd have to check to know for sure.

32 restaurants in total i believe.

Be sure to make it to English class...

Anyways, I'm 19 and just moved to FL and go to college at UWF. While attending college I also go to real estate school and will be licensed here in Florida in about 2 weeks. I'm going to work part time as an agent as soon as I get my license here. As of now though, I'm just living off the money that I made from real estate back up in VA. The money varies on the amount of work you're willing to put into it.

I can't work (legally) because of my visa restrictions. Only my dad has the right to work for only one guy. Pretty sad. So what I do is sell weed to kids in school (wait, what a great idea). J/K, I wash cars, people pay $35 to hand wash their cars in and outside.

System Admin and a Junior Business Analyst....make enough to pay off my CC's and buy fun stuff each month and what not....

Was doing mortgage work since 12 (where I sys admin/analize) and I am now 33...great job and benefits, I come to work early and leave late because it's sort of fun at the same time.

Only I need more time. 36 hour days would be great! Also Hurricane-free weekends so I can install all the crap I have bought.

09-19-2004, 09:23 PM
how much you get each donatio?

Jonas427
09-19-2004, 09:46 PM
The range is usually between $35-$50 per specimen (4-8 times per month). And with plasma you can make about 150 bucks a month. Good times. It's enough to pay the car bills.

logik23
09-19-2004, 10:52 PM
Can't you go donate 2-3 times a day? :-P
